Meet The Team

Nigel Lindley

Nigel co-founded Riverglen alongside Kevin Peck in 1999 and has been a partner ever since, becoming one of the firm’s directors when Riverglen transitioned to a limited company in 2024. Alongside Kevin, Nigel helped create a warm and supportive culture within the firm, one that has led to low staff turnover and strong client retention over the years. He is a member of the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) and is fully qualified to advise on Investments, Pensions, Mortgages, Equity Release, Protection, Care Fees Planning, and Estate and Trust Planning. Nigel’s clients are predominantly based in and around Bourne, though many have since moved away and asked him, and Riverglen, to continue managing their finances from afar. Outside of work, Nigel enjoys rugby, golf, touring in his caravan and riding his motorcycle.

Charlie Kearns

Charlie joined Riverglen in 2013, was made partner in 2018, and became one of the firm’s directors when Riverglen transitioned to a limited company in 2024. He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and is fully qualified to advise on Investments, Pensions, Mortgages, Equity Release, Care Fees Planning and Protection. While Charlie now lives in Retford, Nottinghamshire, his clients remain predominantly based in Bourne and the surrounding areas. Outside of work, Charlie enjoys spending time with his young family and gardening, and is a keen sports fan with a particular interest in cricket, golf, running and the NFL.

Malcolm Williams

Malcolm has been advising on financial matters since the late 1990s and joined Riverglen in 2009. He is a member of the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) and is fully qualified to advise on Investments, Pensions, Mortgages, Equity Release, Care Fees Planning and Protection. Malcolm is also experienced in Trust and Estate Planning, having previously worked as an IFA within an accountancy firm. Originally from the Isle of Wight, he has since lived in Cambridgeshire, North Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire. Malcolm’s client base stretches far and wide, though the bulk of his clients are based in Bourne and the surrounding areas. Outside of work, he enjoys gardening, equestrianism, shooting and classic cars.

Matt Carson

Matt joined Riverglen in 2022, following a thorough search for the right adviser. He is a member of the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) and is fully qualified to advise on Investments, Pensions, Mortgages, Equity Release and Protection. Since joining Riverglen Matt has become a valuable member of the team, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the firm. Matt is local to Bourne, and while the bulk of his clients are also in the area, he regularly deals remotely with clients across the country. Outside of work, Matt is a keen sportsman and enjoys running, cycling, skiing and football.

Neil Toothill

Neil is Riverglen’s newest adviser. After being known to us for a number of years, the opportunity arose for Neil to join the firm early in 2026. Following our continued commitment to the high standard our clients have come to expect, we were excited to bring Neil into the team. He holds the Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA) and the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) through the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF), and advises clients across all areas of financial planning, including investments, pensions, retirement planning, mortgages and protection. Living in Oakham, Rutland, and based out of our Bourne office, Neil works with clients locally and remotely across the UK. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, cycling, exploring the countryside, photography and climbing.

The Admin Team

Our invaluable admin team, led by office manager Alison Bishell, plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of the firm. Alison has been with Riverglen since 2005 and was the firm’s first administrator. She was joined, part-time, by Jackie Ochrombel in 2006 and Rosie Smith in 2008; both roles grew to near full-time before Jackie and Rosie retired in 2018 and 2023 respectively. Rachelle Parker joined the team in 2018, followed by Olivia Watt in 2023. Jackie and Rosie remain part of the Riverglen family, still making themselves available for ad-hoc work or to cover holidays when needed. All of our administrators are local to Bourne and bring a wealth of skills, expertise and experience between them, taking pride in ensuring that anyone in contact with the office — by phone or in person — is met with a friendly face and a warm welcome.

Fast, friendly and impartial advice for all your financial needs.
