Meet The Team

Nigel Lindley

One of the original partners in the firm, Nigel founded the business in 1999 alongside Kevin Peck, Since then, Nigel has been a mainstay within Riverglen, overseeing many changes, as well as supporting his clients, and colleagues, throughout the last 24 years. Nigel, alongside Kevin, created a warm and supportive culture within the firm, which has led to a very low turnover of staff and a very high retention of clients. Nigel is a member of the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) and is fully qualified to deal with Investments, Pensions, Mortgages, Equity Release, Protection and Care Fees Planning, as well as Estate and Trust planning. Nigel’s clients are predominantly based in and around Bourne, however many have moved away over the years and requested that Nigel, and Riverglen, continue to manage their finances from afar. Outside of work Nigel enjoys rugby and golf, as well as going away in their touring caravan and riding his motorcycle.

Charlie Kearns

Charlie joined Riverglen shortly after university with just under 1 year experience in the industry. He has now been with the firm for over 10 years, the last 5 years of which has been as a partner. During his time as a partner, Charlie has taken on a number of additional responsibilities within the firm and is now integral to the effective running of the business. Charlie is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and is fully qualified to deal with Investments, Pensions, Mortgages, Equity Release and Protection. While Charlie now lives in Retford, Nottinghamshire, his clients are still based predominantly in Bourne and the surrounding areas. Outside of work Charlie enjoys spending time with his young family, gardening and is a keen sports fan, with particular interest in cricket, golf, running and the NFL.

Malcolm Williams

Malcolm joined Riverglen over 14 years ago and now has over 26 years’ experience as a financial adviser. Malcolm is a member of the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) and is fully qualified to deal with Investments, Pensions, Mortgages, Equity Release and Protection. Malcolm is also experienced in Trust and Estate Planning having previously worked as an IFA within an Accountancy firm. Since joining Riverglen, Malcolm has lived in Cambridgeshire, North Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire, however he is originally from the Isle of Wight. Malcolm has built a client base that stretches far and wide however the bulk of clients are based in Bourne and the surrounding areas. Outside of work, Malcolm has interests in gardening, equestrianism, shooting, and classic cars.

Matt Carson

Matt is the newest member of our team, having joined us at the start of 2022. This was following a thorough, near three-year search for the right adviser. Matt came to us as a member of the London Institute for Banking and Finance (LIBF), fully qualified to deal with Investments, Pensions, Mortgages, Equity Release and Protection. Matt is the firm’s main mortgage and protection adviser however does also carry a wealth of knowledge and experience in investments and pension planning. Matt is local to Bourne, and while the bulk of his clients are also in the area, he regularly deals remotely with clients all over the country. Outside of work, Matt is a keen sportsman and enjoys running, cycling, skiing and football.

The Admin Team

Our invaluable admin team, led by office manager, Alison Bishell (left) plays a pivotal role in the smooth running of the firm. Alison has been with Riverglen since 2005 and was the first administrator within the firm. She was joined, part time, by Jackie Ochrombel and then Rosie Smith in 2006 and 2008 respectively. Both roles progressed to near full time before retirements in 2018 and 2023. Rachelle Todd (right) joined the team in 2018 and then our most recent addition, Olivia Watt (centre), joined us in 2023. Jackie and Rosie are still considered very much part of the team at Riverglen, with both still making themselves available for ad-hoc work or to cover holidays when required. All of our administrators are local to Bourne and carry an array of skills, expertise and experience between them. They all take pride in their work and try to ensure that anyone in contact with the office, by phone or in person, is met with a friendly face and a warm welcome.
